Joint Venture to Provide Claims Consulting Services to Power Plant Owners, Contractors, Insurers and Law Firms

HOUSTON, TEXAS - March 24, 2010 - Two renowned experts adept in all phases of litigated, mediated and arbitrated matters have joined forces to provide investigative analysis, claim preparation and expert witness testimony to power plant owners, contractors, insurers and law firms. Together The Boyce Consultancy Group, LLC and Construction Claims Group (CCG) provide the clear, concise and objective information necessary to support every phase of the dispute resolution process.

Together, these two firms have analyzed claims on more than 100 power plants and petrochemical projects. Most recently The Boyce Consultancy and CCG completed a successful arbitration for a power plant in New York State in which the initial claim of $83M was reduced to $1.3M. Collectively, the firms completed a detailed examination of the contractor's manpower utilization, planned versus actual productivity / production rates, severity of the claimed winter weather, performance of subcontractors, and a detailed study of the schedule's critical path, their analysis indicated that the contractor was responsible for all project delays and that the power plant owner was entitled to receive liquidated damages of $27M.
